Athletics NZ is aware there may be concerns among athletes and supporters in regards to the hosting of the Sir Graeme Douglas International, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 27 February at Trusts Arena in Auckland.
Athletics NZ wishes to confirm the meet will proceed if the Auckland region is at either Alert Level 1 or 2 and that health and safety plans are in place for it to be held safely, and within government guidelines, at both alert levels.
Further updates will be provided in the coming days on the Athletics NZ website and social media platforms.
The Sir Graeme Douglas International is a Continental Tour Bronze Level Athletics Meet that will take place at Douglas Track & Field (The Trusts Arena), West Auckland.
The competition has now been going for six years and sees some of New Zealand's best athletes come together to compete alongside international stars. The competition is designed to be high energy and fan friendly, encouraging new fans to enjoy the sport of athletics.
Prize Money - Prize money of $750 for first, $400 for second and $250 for third will be available for Continental Tour events.
